Riddle

This very quick quest requires the player to solve a riddle.

The riddle presents you with 9 weights. 8 of them weigh the same, and 1 of them is heavier than the others.

You must place 6 weights on the balance (3 on the left, 3 on the right) and then trigger the balance for the result. You can only use the balance twice, otherwise just x'ing out will reset the puzzle.

The heavier weight is different per account, and changes each time the puzzle is reset

Solution

1) Click on the weights A, B and C to place them on the left side of the balance.

2) Click on the weights D, E and F to place them on the right side of the balance.

Follow these steps if the balance leans to the left:

1) We now know that weight A, B or C is the heaviest.

2) Put A on the left, and two other weights that is not B or C

3) Put B on the right, and two other weight but not C

4) Test the balance again.

* If it leans to the left: Then the answer is A

* If it leans to the right: Then the answer is B

* If it doesn't lean: Then the answer is C

Follow these steps if the balance leans to the right:

1) We now know that weight D, E or F is the heaviest.

2) Put D on the left, and two other weights that is not E or F

3) Put E on the right, and two other weight but not F

4) Test the balance again.

* If it leans to the left: Then the answer is D

* If it leans to the right: Then the answer is E

* If it doesn't lean: Then the answer is F

Follow these steps if the balance stays the same:

1) We now know that weight G, H or I is the heaviest.

2) Put G on the left, and two other weights that is not H or I

3) Put H on the right, and two other weight but not I

4) Test the balance again.

* If it leans to the left: Then the answer is G

* If it leans to the right: Then the answer is H

* If it doesn't lean: Then the answer is I
